Since the tornado that hit Joplin on May 22, 2011 we, along with so much of the Joplin community, have been recovering. Thank you to everyone who has helped make that recovery go more smoothly through your prayers, gifts, time and care.
Mission Station Open and Taking Reservations...
March 18, 2012 saw the opening of The Station at South Joplin Christian Church.
The Station is a Quonset hut turned self-contained living space for groups who come
to volunteer to help in Joplin's recovery.
Groups who stay here will register through Disciples Volunteering.

Current Volunteer Opportunities
1) Register for a mission trip through Disciples Volunteering and stay in the Mission Station at South Joplin Christian Church.
Construction jobs can only be assigned to people 16 years old and older.
Younger teens who register will be given other types of work.
2) Find your own housing and register for work through Rebuild Joplin.
